How much does it cost to spend a vacation in Cape Verde? Offer for various pockets
When we talk about how much it costs to spend a vacation in Cape Verde, we have to consider that different people are different styles of travelers and have specific preferences. While traditionally, when the destination is Cape Verde, people prefer to go for the all-inclusive/half-board travel style, there are also people who prefer the nomadic style, as well as more luxurious styles. Whatever your style, Cape Verde has something for you.
All inclusive or half board
For those who like to have everything planned, travel agencies have several travel packages that make the person have to look for practically nothing. Usually these are tourists who go looking for the Sun and Beach experience, who can find almost everything they need inside the hotels. This service usually includes travel to Cape Verde and transfers, as well as a guide to visit the main attractions of the place you will be visiting.
The amount will vary depending on the agency, what is included, and the time of year.
For example, when traveling for two people, in a 7-nights regime, we find offers from 720€ to 1611€ per person, departing from Lisbon. Prices include flight + tranfers + hotel, and some also include food.
From 900 euros per person, for a large part of the year, for example, you can find offers of 4 or 5 star hotels with good ratings. Even if the regime includes food, always count on an extra amount for days when you feel like leaving the hotel – eating out, souvenirs, cabs, car rental, experiences, are usually charged separately, depending on what you want to do.
Nomadic Regime
If you intend to go on a nomadic regime, the value of the trip can vary a lot. Accommodation prices start at 40€ per day, depending on the hotel and the conditions offered.
In terms of food, it is important to leave the reference prices here. As Cape Verde is a small island country with low rainfall, it ends up having to import many of the products it consumes.

Luxury regime
With luxury having different dimensions, there is less offer than elsewhere for this type of tourism in Cape Verde. However, if we are talking about a very high quality regime, we can consider the value up to 200€ per person / night in some hotels. activities such as lunches and dinners in the best restaurants in Cape Verde for about 30-60€ per person, boat trips – at 125€ / day per person for whale watching, horseback riding, from 60€ per person (1 /2 hours), tours with a driver and guide, plus travel, insurance, transfers, and costs with other activities.
As you can see, there are many ways to travel and enjoy Cape Verde. The price of traveling to Cape Verde can vary depending on what you want to do and budget.
If you want to relax and not have a hard time preparing your trip and all its aspects, you can opt for a travel package.
If you want to stay longer and get to know the local life and fantastic places less explored, you can opt for a nomadic trip.
There is a scheme for people who want to experience Cape Verde in a different way: a volunteer system, in some social projects, but there the costs and conditions vary according to the project and the promoting entity.
If you travel as a family the costs may also vary depending on your choices. On the more touristy islands it will probably make sense to rent an apartment within the hotel, and it pays off, besides the privacy it offers, to feel more at ease especially if you are traveling with children to Cape Verde.
Either way, go and enjoy. There are many great things on each island.
