Sal Rei Village
Boa Vista Island
Cape Verde
The Island of Boa Vista is a place with little population, which explains a tourism focused on what is provided by nature, especially sun and sea, with beautiful beaches to the mix. Sal Rei retains that identity, and it’s an exciting place.

About Sal Rei
Sal Rei is a typical cape Verdean coastal village. The simplicity of the village reflects that of its inhabitants: without large buildings or places to visit, which are usually part of the tourist itineraries of large cities, here less is more.
The small houses, inhabited mostly by fishermen, are garish and transmit “good vibe”. The proximity to the sea gives its inhabitants a source of sustenance and the possibility of living to and from a small piece of paradise.
What to do in a place you have little to see?
After visiting the well-known fish market, you can take a break in the village centre. There, you can discover the church, and see how the locals live.
Sal Rei has good beaches: you can also dive in them if you feel like doing so.
Sometimes the pace at which we live is accelerated in every way. In Sal Rei, it is possible to observe the calm, and feel some of this calm. Enjoy a moment, in a café or on a terrace, to see fishermen who, after returning from work, spend some time chatting with friends. Children who (still) play in the street. The salesmen that carry the products on the head, with mastery and balance. And the smiles the locals have to offer.
In Sal Rei there is not much to see, but there is much to feel and realize.
