A simple and revealing museum
Present in a colonial house, near the famous Sucupira market. with beautiful stone walls, a small garden that gives it even more life, and reconverted into a museum to be important in the ethnography of the people. Sometimes simplicity reveals more than complexity, and the ethnographic museum in Praia, Santiago, is one of the examples that proves this is true. In a small but cozy space, we have the opportunity to come into contact with objects that, over time, have been part of the lives of the inhabitants of the different islands of Cape Verde.
Travel in history through objects?
Each of these objects lets us perceive the way of life of the populations, and how they behaved. In the exhibition you can find many kinds of objects, from musical instruments, furniture, crockery, clothes, work tools, etc.
A simple museum, but one that preserves the history and way of life of Cape Verdeans throughout time. Located on the Plateau.
